Am I a Dual Status Alien ?

I relocated to US in June 2016 with the same employer that I was working for in my home country; and have been in the US till date. As I understand, since I pass the substantial resident test I am a Resident Alien for Tax year 2016. But am I a dual status alien as well ? How it can affect me ?

Although you meet the substantial presence test, you are a dual status alien since you were not present on January 1st. You will need to file a dual status return. This is not supported by Turbotax.
