It is a bummer that Intuit decided to side with Apple on this. I have loved Turbotax, but it is not worth purchasing a new Mac for. I will also be looking at competitors who allow their software to run on legacy systems next year. Intuit - please consider revising your policy on this. Competitors, here's an edge.

If you are referring to Mac OS 13 it's out of support and Intuit doesn't support their s/w on it, this happens every year.  If you're stuck on that OS it means your H/W is outdated, you'll stop getting updates from Apple and other 3rd parties like Adobe and Microsoft 365.  I think you're only other option is HR Block who do support older OS versions.  Mac desktop s/w is about 0.25% (< 1%) of Intuit's revenues, they don't care if they lose some users to competitors on this so it's up to you.

Mac minis are a good option to get up to date without a lot of cost.
