I am a non-resident alien and have received two 1042-S forms. One has my US address and one has my foreign address on it. Does this discrepancy matter?

Just out of curiosity: what's the worst that could happen if my employer refuses to give me a new 1042-S? (They're already saying I had no problems with the form minus an SSN last year.) At the most, I just don't get the credit from withholding, right? And I send them an additional payment? Or will be entire return be rejected?

As you say, the IRS could just not credit you the withholding.  So the 14% that was withheld would just disappear, as if you never paid that amount.

Alright. Luckily in the worst case scenario, it was a very small amount. Thanks again for answering all my questions!
