My partner and I purchased 2024 deluxe TurboTax. He installed and activated on his laptop. When I tried to do the same on my laptop and entered the license code, I received a message that that license key was already taken. I then logged in using my partners credentials and then got a message that the key was already entered. Can someone give me steps I need to take in order to activate the software on my own laptop? Can I use my own credentials to do this?

The first thing I did was call, and the person couldn't help me. She said I would have to do my taxes on my partner's computer. I'll continue to look online or call again in hopes of getting someone else. Hoping someone else has experienced the same thing and can help me here.
You have to g\log in with the same log in information that was used when the software was activated. The system allows for one person to file 5 returns but it does not allow five different people to log in and use it. So you can still file your return you will just have to enter the information into your partner's TurboTax account.
