Every time I click on Turbo Tax icon it starts Turbo Tax all over again and I can't get back to my files.--------  To suspend entries until next time I have more time and info, I save the open file.  Then I can't find it.  I have to go to File Explorer and search for the file.  What a stupid waste of time.   Why can't I just click on the icon and the previous file open for additional entries???

If you are using TurboTax online, do the followings:

I would suggest you check your internet connection.  Try to log out and sign back in the program.

You should also clear your cache and sign back into the program. To clear cache, click here: Cache

You may also try a different browser.

I have noticed same issue (download version, on a Mac.  VERY annoying.  A number of other faults discovered also.  double click on some data box, and the program immediately closes, without saving recent data.  Can’t access  1099’s ( 1099-B, 1099-Div etc) from my broker.  In the module for Cap gains/losses, whiuch should access my 1099-B, hen I put in my acct details, TurboTax pulls in the data from my 1099-R ( IRA distribution).  Beginning to wonder about this !!!

As to the file opening issue, where you have to hunt for the file each time  (for desktop users only).

It might not be you situation, but that might commonly occur if you are saving your tax file to an external USB-connected drive ...but shouldn't happen if you are saving the file to your main  system hard disk.
