My husband and I got $2800 on the third stimulus but we have two children we have also. Should it have just been the $2800 or are we missing money and do I need to file something with the IRS? Thanks for your help

You should have received the 3rd stimulus for each child claimed as a dependent on your 2021 return. Look at your 2021 Form 1040 line 30 and see if there is an amount there for the recovery rebate credit. And....check your online account with the IRS too and see what the IRS shows that they sent to you for 2021.

If you did not receive the money for all four people, then file an amended 2021 return and use the recovery rebate credit in Federal Review to get the additional amount. You must file the amended return no later than April 15, 2025 or it will be too late.

Do not expect quick results from amending. It can take four months or more for the IRS to process an amended return.
