I have just installed 2025 and I am getting the Error 214 missing file. I tried running as administrator and it still errored out.

Error 214 is technically a "Runtime Error." It means the program is calling for a specific tool (usually a visual form or a calculator function) that Windows says "doesn't exist." This is almost always because the Visual C++ library is corrupted. Sometimes repairing Microsoft Visual C++ helps.
If that doesn't help, try to reinstall TurboTax.
I downloaded and installed Desktop TT Premier 2025 on an external hard drive. I have done this before on all previous versions of TT. The install location is "E:\TurboTax\Premier 2025".
On starting up, I get the "Error 214" (Some forms are missing ... etc.). I have tried many of the corrective steps suggested in this forum, including repairing the VC++ redistributable, running as administrator, disabling virus scanning and firewalls. None of these worked.
When I try to uninstall, I get the error "The folder path 'Premier 2025' contains an invalid character". So now I can neither run it nor uninstall it. There are no invalid characters in the path and I have successfully used this method on all previous of TT in earlier years.
If it is not letting uninstall the program try the following:
Windows
Mac
