2024 amendment shows signature date while e-filing

I am amending my 2024 Tax return in 2026, and the last step throws this message/error:

"You either didn't enter a signature date or entered an invalid signature date. Verify and make any necessary corrections here.  Your signature date must be on or after 01/01/2025 through 12/31/2025"

It is April 2026 now. How to get past this message?

Are you in the desktop 2024 version to amend the return?  Are you in the original return and have the 1040X?  Is it asking for the date you signed the original return?

I am in the desktop 2024 version on windows and amending the original return (I used Turbotax for that too). The field is signature field and the error message is literally what I put in the comment.

Generally, you can e-file your amended 2025, 2024, or 2023 federal return via TurboTax if your original return was also e-filed in TurboTax using the same account.

However, there's a chance your return can't be e-filed based on your unique situation. If this happens, you'll see a message as you described and will need to print and mail your amended tax return. See this help article.

Go to Tax Tools > Print Center and choose "Print, save or preview this year's return". Print all documents, sign the 1040-X, and mail it with new W-2s/1099s to the address in your filing instructions.
