The biomass fuel credit is the most complicated change to section 25D and 25C. For 2022, the biomass credit is under section 25D, and the Inflation Reduction Act retroactively restored the percentage to 30% for all of 2022, with a maximum credit of $300.
Beginning on 1/1/23, the credit moves to section 25C, and the maximum credit is increased to $2000.
