2021 Tax return finally processed! Where will it go?

I am in a panic and I need urgent help! I filed my 2021 Tax return in Jan of 2022 and it is just now finalized. At the time when I filed I selected to have fees taken from my refund but since there was a delay, Turbo Tax emailed me that fees would be debited from my bank account on 06/03/22 which it was. I no longer have that bank account so IRS is issuing a paper check to me. I’ve moved addresses since 2021 and have updated my current address with the IRS however my concern is will they send the check directly to me or will it go to SBTPG/Turbo Tax since I originally had selected for Fees to be paid from it?? Help! I can’t afford to experience another long delay! Will SBTPG/Turbo Tax mail my check to me if it does get sent there? How do I make sure my address is now updated with them if so???

Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing of your return or the release of your refund.

Here are a couple FAQs to track your refund:
When will I get my federal tax refund?
How do I track my state refund?
Why does Where's My Refund say "approved" but TurboTax still says "accepted"?

You will need to contact the IRS for information. It might be easiest to set up an account with them.

IRS Individual Online Account

  • Taxpayers with a Social Security number or an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number can create or access their IRS Individual Online Account to get information they need to file their return.
  • With an IRS Individual Online Account, people can:
  • View balance owed, payment history and schedule payments.
  • Cancel scheduled payments – new feature for 2024.
  • Get transcripts.
  • View or create payment plans.
  • See digital copies of some IRS notices.
  • View key data from their most recently filed tax return, including adjusted gross income.
  • Validate bank accounts and save multiple accounts, eliminating the need to re-enter bank account information every time they make a payment.
  • View, approve and electronically sign power of attorney and tax information authorizations from their tax professional.

Prior to it being officially filed, didn’t I consent to the 3rd party SBTPG to be paid the fees owed to you, Turbo Tax? I’m guessing j should direct my concern to them?

Not surprised that I’m already getting the run around. TPG says only Turbo Tax can verify that my fees have already been paid to them. They will not assist. Directing me to call you. Or IRS. IRS directs me to contact you as well. 🤷🏻‍♀️
