The 2021 Federal Personal Extension I submitted via TurboTax Online (since extensions aren't supported in the desktop version for some reason) was rejected for the following reason:
"R0000-007-02 - For US Addresses, the first five digits of 'ZipCd' of the Filer's address in the Return Header must be within the valid ranges of zip codes for the corresponding 'StateAbbreviationCd'. See Publication 4164".
turbotax further clarifies:
What does this mean?
In most cases, you just need to submit a new extension application before the filing deadline.
However, since turbotax provided the Return Header info, there is no way for me to edit it.
What gives, and how can this be resolved without sending a "dead tree" version via the USPS?

Rather than waiting for a resolution, I went to the "Direct Pay" site on irs.gov and made the payment there (applying it to Form 4868).
If you do this, be sure to not only get email confirmation but print out the confirmation page when payment is submitted
