Before I buy the 2019 basic plan to complete my taxes, i want to ensure that your system will allow me to do so if i have not filed 2017 or 2018??

You can indeed file 2019 if you haven't filed 2017 or 2018. However, it is really best to file the years in order, as there might be carryovers on the prior years that affect 2019. Here's how to start with the prior years:

You'll need to purchase and download the TurboTax software for PC or Mac, as TurboTax Online and the mobile app are only available for the current tax year.
After installing the software, open it and follow the onscreen instructions.
