When using desktop TurboTax (CD/download), you are the only one that can keep a copy of the *.taxYYYY data file, e.g., *.tax2019 for last year. It's all saved locally on your computer or external storage device. Did you not archive the *.tax2019 file and 2019 PDF anywhere when you got the new computer?
If not, you can download a 2019 tax return transcript from the IRS after establishing an IRS account.
is the transcript from the irs uploadable to turbo tax ?
No, you cannot transfer an IRS transcript into TurboTax. You need the *.tax2019 data file. It might be possible to transfer from a 2019 PDF, but that is very limited and only transfers a few things, such as the personal bio info and 2019 AGI.
Do you no longer have access to your old computer? Or could you have made a backup somewhere on an external storage device?
