2019 Tax Charge

I received an email that I was going to be charged for tax services for 2019. I honestly thought it was an bogus email. Due to the fact that I did not complete or file my taxes with your service in 2019. But, I have now since been made aware of a charge to my checking account for 2019 taxes. I am reaching out to you to find out just why I was billed for services that I did not receive. Please assist. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Did you file the 2019 return elsewhere and request the program fees withheld from your return ? And then the refund was never released or it was taken for an offset ? If so the bank and DIY program was not paid in full or in part. So if you then used the refund processing option again this year the prior year fee can and will be taken by the current processing bank. This is a provision in the contract you signed allowing all the processing banks to collect for the other processing banks doing these services.
