I have the CD's for 2019 and 2020, but I'm having trouble getting them to work. The CD installation doesn't work for either of those years. Also, I downloaded the 2019 version from the TurboTax website, and I get an Error 603 message when re-entering the license code. How do I file my back taxes for 2019 and 2020 using Turbo Tax?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You can't install or reinstall 2019 anymore. They only support the last 3 years and recently took off 2019 when they moved 2022 to the past year section. And 2019 was the first year they started using the License Code to activate the program so it has to log into Turbo Tax. You can't activate it now. It will fail. When did you buy or download 2019? Turbo Tax isn't selling it anymore.
2020 should install and work.
You can not do 2019 and prior using Turbo Tax. They only sell the last 3 years. You might want to go to a local accountant or tax place if you have a complicated return. And it is too late to get any refunds.
If you have a simple return you can fill out the forms by hand. Here are some basic forms…..
Here is the IRS 2019 Form 1040

or if you want bigger type use 1040SR for Seniors,

And 2019 Instructions

Sch 3 : https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040s3--2019.pdf
Thank you...
It is unacceptable that Intuit can do NOTHING whatsoever to allow people that bought the 2019 software and know their license numbers not to be able to run the software by simply saying it is "unsupported". TOTAL CRAP. VERY DISAPPOINTING.
