2016 was a complicated year and I need to know which version of Turbo Tax will best suit my situation.

In 2016, I started the year working in PA; got laid off in April; parent passed away in March and I received money from a Trust; inherited a house and turn around and sold it; gave some inheritance to my adult children; moved from Pennsylvania to Florida to find work; was unemployed from April to October and paying for healthcare; started new job in FL in October. There are so many different areas of concern, I don't know if there is program to guide me through this mess.

Yes, TurboTax can help you file your tax return, even when you experienced so many changes.

Follow the program flow of questions from the beginning, using the version you have already selected. You'll be asked to upgrade only when necessary.

If you don't know all the answers the first time through, you can revisit any topic by opening your return and using the Search box in the TurboTax header. You can also bookmark any page by going to My Account >> Tools >> Flags. This allows you to easily find a topic you need to revisit.

When you finish the Federal Taxes section, be sure to visit the Health Insurance topic and the State Taxes tab. Since you earned income in Pennsylvania, you will need to file a part-year resident tax return in PA. Florida has no state income tax, so you don't have a return to file in that state.

Notice the blue links ("Learn More") that appear in TurboTax. These link to On Demand Guidance that may answer many questions you have. If you need additional help on any subject, please return to the forum to search for an answer, or post another question.
