1099-R

I receive a pension from the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund. Because it is an international organization it does not have a Payer ID for the 1099-R form. Without a payer ID, I cannot efile. Is there a dummy number that I can use or some other workaround so that I can efile?

As to the Federal ID, if your foreign issuer does not have the ID number, try entering nine 9s. If electronic errors occur due to 1099-R data entry, enter the pension under Miscellaneous income. As long as the pension is reported in income, it is not a problem.
