1099-R Turbo Tax error

This topic has been discussed here and online, specifically the reply "....It WILL show as income on the summary because it IS income - just not taxable income....." by a champion . Having read the IRS articles and documents it makes no sense why Turbo tax is adding the Box 1 amount to my total income.
That money was already reported on past W2s (I added all of them and the income on Turbo Tax and TT is overstated by that amount in the Summary tab.
This needs to be corrected.
