Why when I indicate that the taxpayer took a distribution after 59.5 years of age and go back through the 1099-R entry it changes it to before 59.5 years of age?  2023 edition

It looks like you are on the Desktop Version of TurboTax.

I suggest you go back to PERSONAL INFO.

Go through the interview to his Birth Date

It should be before 6/20/1964

Thank you JohnB5677.  The birthdate is before the date you indicated.  I did check the return again and it is not calculating the 10% penalty even though the incorrect button is on.
