1099-NEC state taxes

I am getting an error stating "missing information" when checking my return because the 1099-NEC had a state tax line (box 7) that I entered. I do not have anything on any of the other state boxes. TT is requesting I enter box 5 and 6 but those boxes do not exist on the 1099. Also, we are in Texas with no state tax. Do I just ignore the problem TT is stating exists or should something be entered? I did not have this issue last year when adding the 1099-NEC.

Simply remove the state income from box 7, since there is no state withholding. This should allow you to move forward. Be sure to select the 'Delete' key when you are in the box 7 space. Move forward and please update here if you have the same experience.
