On my 1099-NEC under "Box 7" there are only two numbers (state income). In TurboxTax Premiere under "Box 7" there are 3 boxes!! There is this one box hanging out below the two "state income" boxes that I don't know what should be put in here? Should it be 0? There are no indications of what it is or what it is meant for! There is no such box on the actual 1099-NEC!

When you are entering the information for your 1099-NEC, you only need to enter information in TurboTax on the boxes that have amount on the 1099-NEC you received. If you had no state tax withheld on Box 5, then you can leave boxes 5-7 blank. For more information see the following links:

That isn't what our screen looks like.
This is what mine looks like. I need to report the 3388 as AZ state income, with no taxes withheld. Which of these unlabeled boxes is the right one?
Enter the state income amount in the box under "Box 7" of Form 1099-NEC.
Enter a state ID number for the payer in the box under "Box 6".
If there is no state ID number for the payer on your form, try entering their Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN) from the "Payer's TIN" box, without hyphens, into the TurboTax state ID box.
If that fails or if no state tax was withheld, you may be able to leave it blank or enter a placeholder such as "9999999". Some states (Colorado is one) have specific requirements for the format of the state ID number. Contact your state tax agency with questions if needed.
