If your 1099-NEC is part of your business income, it has losses netted against it to create your actual income. We had some business owners that thought they could claim retirement income against the full amount rather than the net. I believe the programmers may have made changes to help reflect that the NEC may not represent your actual income.
If your NEC is showing on Sch C or F or E correctly, you are in good shape.
