I am trying to enter information from a 1099-MISC form and they put the amount earned in box 7 "nonemployee compensation". When I go to enter this in box 7 does not come up and when I click the "?" it states "If you have info in box 7, you might have to report income from this sale in the "Business Income and Expenses" section." Where is this section and how do I report this income?

The 1099-MISC with box 7 does  not exist for 2020.  It has been replaced with the new 1099-NEC.

There is no 2020 1099-MISC with a box 7, it you got one it cannot a 2020 form.

@macuser_22   Yes 2020 1099Misc has box 7.  It is now for Direct Sales of 5,000 or more.

That is just a check mark, not a dollar amount.

The poster specifically asked about "non-employee compensation".
