Why would I get a 1099-INT from the IRS saying interest income from the IRS?

If you got back your refund late, the IRS is required to pay interest after a certain amount of time. This is probably what you received. This is taxable income for you.

How do I claim foreign tax paid on interest income in a foreign country? Created a 1099INT, but TT does not pick it up in the foreign tax credit section. Pls help, thanks
