Is it ok for an H1-B holder to receive 1099-INT form?

H1-B holders are subject to U.S. income tax law for all income they earn in the U.S. However, as a non-resident, you may not be able to claim the same tax deductions as a permanent resident or citizen.
The 1099-INT is sent from a bank due to interests. So I wondered if having 1099-INT on H1B is illegal? If so, how to resolve this issue? Thank you!
No, it is not illegal to earn interest. You have a valid non immigrant visa to work in the U.S. If you meet the individual filing requirements, you may have to file a tax return and the interest should be included. Nothing to worry about.
