1099-g

My husband received a 1099-g for unemployment from New York. The turbo tax options in this area do not have unemployment as an option and the boxes don't match up. For example, I have Unemployment income eared in box 1 and there is no place to put this in. Please help.

To enter unemployment compensation

• Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
• Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
• Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
• Under Unemployment
• On Unemployment and Paid Family Leave, click the start or update button

Or enter unemployment in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to unemployment

there is a section JUST FOR UNEMPLOMENT under income. 

Return to and DELETE that 1099-G

Unemployment is located under Wages & Income the third section down
