Trying to file my unemployment 1099-G that I was issued by the state of NEVADA - Boxes 10A / 10B Are empty on the 1099-G box 1 has the value that was paid, boxes 2 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 9 / 11 have a value of $0
When trying to select my state, NEVADA is not listed as an option. If I leave box 10A with no value -- SELECT A STATE -- It provides an error that will not let you continue, " SELECT THE STATE THAT ISSUED YOUR FORM "
Please help, would like to file early, thank you.

I have tried the FREE EDITION and IRS FREE FILE PROGRAM DELIVERED BY TURBOTAX, Both with same results.
Do I have to purchase Basic / Deluxe / Premier?
No, there is nothing wrong with the version you are using.
On your 1099-G, boxes 10a, 10b, and 11 refer to how much tax is withheld to apply against your state income tax. Nevada doesn't have an income tax, so all three boxes should be blank.
It does happen that sometimes the software that prints the 1099-Gs automatically puts in the state code whether or not it is needed. In this case, just don't enter the state code in box 10a when you enter your 1099-G, and blank it out if it is already there.
This is an exception to our general mantra of "enter everything you see".

Hi, I'm having the same problem. I left all the boxes blank that you said to. I even tried uploading a picture. It still says it needs review no matter how many times I try.
