Why can't a 1099-B be imported from the Consolidated Tax Statement? 1099-Div work fine. But B's need to be entered manually (which is ridiculously confusing for me). The docs are available from my broker but they aren't able to be automatically imported to TT yet. This also goes for people who would rather not give their log-in credentials out (which they really should change after their taxes are done BTW). Turbo Tax needs to offer the ability to upload the pdf of 1099-B to their customers.

A PDF import will never happen ... so either import the info as directed ( and change your password if you think you must) or enter the info manually.
Why will it never happen? Do you work for Intuit? Do you have some hidden info? Are you one of the programmers? And ... I have no problem letting the s/w do the work (it was fine for my Janney acct) except; even thought the docs are available on Merrill, TT won't let me import them.
