1099 -B Box "F" code D is entered only for 1st item not the next 2 items on form 8949, Why and can I add it?

I entered all my 1099-B info, all 3 transactions are "Long-term transactions for which basis is reported to the IRS", per my 1099-B. I checked the forms view for form 8949 and my 3 items show under Part 2 and all three items should be Box D. Only the first entry on form 8949 shows the code D in box F, should the other 2 boxes have the code D in box F also?

All 3 transactions are listed/compiled together in Part 2 of Schedule D 8b. The line 8b says:

"Totals for all transactions reported on form(s) 8949 with Box D checked"

Just wondering why only the 1st item on form 8949 box F has the code D entered and not the other 2??

Don't want to override anything so I can e-file.

Thanks

You are mixing up boxes, columns, and codes.

Near the top of Part II of Form 8949 there are three checkboxes labeled (D), (E), and (F). Box D is checked, indicating long-term transactions for which basis is reported to the IRS. That box D at the top of the page applies to all the transactions on that page.

In the list of the individual transactions, there is a column (f), not box F, for adjustment codes. Your first transaction has adjustment code D in column (f). That adjustment code D has nothing to do with box D at the top of the page. Adjustment code D indicates that you had an adjustment for accrued market discount on that transaction. The other two transactions have no adjustments, so there is no adjustment code in column (f) for those transactions.

You don't have to change anything or override anything. It's correct the way it is.
