1095A and 8962 questions

It depends.  Assuming you are the recipient listed in boxes 4 and 5 in Part I of the 1095A and your daughter is a dependent on your tax return.  You will enter the 1095A in the "Deductions & Credits" section using the Medical>Affordable Care Act topic.  Your entries there will generate a form 8962 that is filed as part of your tax return.

If your daughter is the recipient then she needs to file her own return and include the 1095A information in the "Deductions & Credits" section using the Medical>Affordable Care Act topic. A form 8962 will be generated and included in her tax filing documents.

If you are the recipient but your daughter is not part of your tax family (dependent on your return) then you enter the 1095A information on your return but then select the option indicating you need to allocate the coverage and enter the requested follow on information.  The person you allocate to must file a tax return (for example your daughter or whoever may be claiming your daughter on their tax return.

The person to whom you allocate to also enters the 1095A information on their return (recipient information will be their data) and indicate allocation is required to your social security number entering the agreed upon percentages.
