1095-A / independent filler, 24, no dependents

Hi! I am under my dad’s health insurance. He has two policy numbers with health insurance marketplace (one that is his and then one he owns where my siblings, mom, and I all dependents under). I am an independent tax filler despite this, so in 2023 when I had filled my taxes; I had claimed 0% allocation for the 1 policy which I am under and told the IRS I share this policy with my dad. However, I received a 12C letter from them and since then, haven’t heard back.

For the 2024 year, I decided to go with a tax preparer to help avoid the issues of what I’m facing from the previous year. The tax preparer is filling my taxes the same way as I had done in 2023. She claimed many times that my 2023 is done correctly and so is the way she is doing 2024. I’m just not sure though.. anyone have any insight?

My dad also told me for the 2023 year, he claimed 100% allowance on both his policies and told IRS that he is not sharing the insurance statement with anyone since I did not pay for it in any way

If you're on your parents' Form 1095-A, but aren't filing as their dependent, select your situation from the link below for instructions.

I'm on my parents' 1095-A form. What do I do on my return?
