I recently learned that by entering my 1099Q the TurboTax software has actually been calculating the money as taxable, and that I do not need to enter my 1099Q since it was a qualified withdrawal. The IRS advised me to amend my returns affected with the 1040X. If I go back into my original software & amend the return, does that automatically produce a 1040X?
