Hi! I've requested an installment plan for my federal taxes. I am printing my 1040-V form - do I submit my first payment by check when I mail the form?

If your payment plan has not yet been approved, send in a payment before the due date of the return with the voucher. It can take up to 30 days for the acceptance.

If you plan has already been accepted, then you can disregard the voucher.
