1040 SR line 25b

The IRS is asking me to show proof of the amount on Line 25b of my 1040 SR. Can TurboTax generate a detailed report of what is included in that number?

Searching a 90 page return would not be what I want to do.

Line 25b comes from any 1099 forms you entered. Like 1099R box 4 and Social Security SSA-1099 box 4. Send them copies of your 1099 forms.

The taxes on Line 25b on the form 1040 are from any type of Form 1099 you entered. Look at the Tax Payments Worksheet.

A 'detailed report" is not sufficient proof. You need to send the IRS a copy of all 1099's you received. That would include 1099-R, 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, 1099-INT and any other of the 20 some odd types of 1099 forms you received.

You only have to send copies of the 1099 forms that have federal income tax withheld. The total of the federal tax withheld on all the 1099 forms should add up to the amount on line 25b of your 1040-SR. On most 1099 forms the federal tax withheld is in box 4.
