1040 5a rollover checkbox unchecked with 1099-R code G

I have what I believe to be a standard scenario where all my after-tax contributions to 401(k) are rolled over to Roth IRA (in-plan rollover).  The 1099-R import completed successfully, with Box 7 being G, with Box 1 matching amount of Box 5.  In the questionnaire, I indicated "Yes, I moved the money to a Roth 401(k), Roth 403(b), or a 457(b) plan" and answered the after-tax contribution question with "yes" with the amount in Box 1.

Yet, in the 1040 generated in the preview, the box for 5a "rollover" is left unchecked.

I have tried saying "no" to the "moved money to a Roth 401(k)..." question and answering the later Roth IRA rollover question to "yes" but that still does not check the box.  Also tried deleting the 1099-R entirely and starting over to no avail.  Any idea why this checkbox refuses to be checked?  Thank you!

If the box is not checked after attempts to report it as a rollover, don't worry because the IRS is looking for matching amounts, so the important thing is to verify that your entriew were reported properly. If they are, your return is compliant, even without the box checked.

Line 5a should show your Gross Distribution and 5b should show zero (0) for the after-tax portion. If Line 5b is zero, your return is mathematically correct and satisfies the reporting requirements.
