tax credit metal roofs

Will there be a Home Energy Credit or any tax credit for a metal roof that was installed this year (2022)? We paid for 2/3 of the cost of this roof in 2021, but the final 1/3 payment was not made until it was installed this year.

Improvements that qualify for the residential energy property do include roofs that are metal. To be it qualifies, it would be best if they are energy star. The credits are based on the year that it is placed in service and not when you pay for it.
