Hello Experts,
I have concerns about the federal Government hiring so many IRS agents. I have seen the request on the IRS. gov website. My concerns are that not only would this allow only around 1250 returns per agent per year but also the cost to the tax payers, harm that could come from an unruly agent or person. If you have seen the advertisement for agents there are some other requests and specifications that alarmed me.
Please advise us of how this will affect our taxes and income, not to mention our livelihood.
Thank you again,
Brian

I'd say there's nothing for you to worry about if you've always filed your taxes regularly in the past. If you haven't done that there may be reason to worry. You can always file your back taxes, Turbo Tax provides a platform for you to file your previous years taxes. You can do so here File Prior Year Taxes
The reason the IRS needs to hire many new agents is to reduce the backlog of un-processed tax returns, get refunds out faster and also to be able to make tax evaders pay their fair share. I cannot speak for the IRS as to the training of their agents, but I'm sure they do well in that regard. Nothing for law abiding citizens to worry about.
