I just got a notice from the IRS adjusting my refund.
"We changed the amount of taxable Social Security benefits to correct an error in the calculation reported on your return."

What is "BBB TurboTax?"
On your Form 1040, Line 6b, is the taxable Social Security amount shown as zero? If so, you may have answered a question wrong about whether you and/or a spouse resided in one of the listed foreign countries that do not tax USA Soc Sec. At least this is a common error that has happened to some Soc Sec recipients this year.
@ VolvoGirl may have a screen shot?
Save a pfd of your return with all the worksheets. Check the top of the Turbo Tax Social Security Worksheet. There is a box to check if you lived in a foreign country. If it is Yes then your Social Security is exempt from tax.
Right after you enter the Social Security the very next screen asks if you lived in a foreign country. If you entered a SSA-1099 for both spouses it will ask for each person.
Here is a screenshot where it asks. But they might have changed some wording after I made this one.
I found a screenshot with the new wording in April
