How do I know if I paid employment taxes for dependant child care

You would know if you had an agreement like this with someone. For example, if you had a live-in nanny for your children's care, that person would be considered a household employee and you would be responsible for paying taxes similar to how an employer withholds taxes on a employee's W2.  It is not the average situation. Most people take their children to a daycare center or pay to have a babysitter cometo their house.
