I entered my $10,500. in home mortgage interest and my property taxes and my "federal taxes due" did not go down at all!! Is this new? Is this correct? Please help.

Yes, it could very possibly be new. If you are married filing jointly, your standard deduction is now $24,000. If your mortgage interest, property taxes, contributions, etc. do not exceed $24k, your taxes due would not change because the standard deduction is your best method.
