Why do I not see my child care credit on my return
The Child and dependent care credit and other nonrefundable credits are reported on your 1040 form on line 13b.
If you don't have any tax liability you will not receive the credit because The child and Dependent Care Credit is a nonrefundable credit. Nonrefundable credit can only reduce a taxpayer's liability to zero. The credit can't be used to increase your tax refund or to create a tax refund.
