Why can't I edit the medical and dental expenses portion?

Yes, you can edit the medical and dental expenses section as long as you haven't e-filed your return already. Here's how to do that:

1. Sign in to TurboTax. 
2. Select Deductions and Credits, then Review/ Edit.
3. Select Start or Edit to the right of Medical.
4. If you are asked Did you spend more than $XXX on medical expenses in 2023? answer Yes.
5. You can edit, delete, or add to your medical expenses in this section.
