Why am I getting the child tax credit this year

The adjusted gross income (AGI) limit to be eligible to receive the Child Tax Credit was raised to $200,000 ($400,000 joint) as part of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. Previously, the AGI limit was $75,000 single/head of household and $110,000 joint. See more information below:
