If you enter your dependent and you are eligible to receive the child tax credit it is added automatically to your tax return.

TurboTax checks the appropriate box based on the information that you enter about your dependent. Are you thinking that the wrong box is checked? Why do you think that?

Note that to qualify for the child tax credit the child must be under 17 years old at the end of 2023. If the child turned 17 in 2023 he or she no longer qualifies for the child tax credit.
