What is a foreign tax credit carryback adjustment?

I have foreign tax credits from 2011 - 2014, I have not used all of the 2011 credits, I realize I can't use them. But TT asked if I have a 2021 carryback adjustment, what is that? Is that from the 2011 portion that I can no longer use?

If it asks if you have a carryback adjustment, just say no to that question.

If the answer is alway "no", why does TT even ask this question? And why is there no context-sensitive help for this question? Shame on you, TT!
