There are two ways to remove this Mortgage from your TurboTax program:
1. You will go to the Mortgage Interest - 1098 entry and delete:
Go to the Federal section.
Select Deductions and Credits.
Select Your Home.
The first choice in this section is Mortgage Interest, Refinancing and Interest (1098).
At this point you may see a Mortgage Deduction Summary. If there is an entry, select to delete on the far-right side.
2. If there is nothing showing in this section, you can delete the information as follows:
Select Tax Tools on right side of page.
Choose Tools.
Choose Delete a Form
Find 1098 and all worksheets attached to it, select Delete.
As a step to be sure the form has been deleted, run through step 4 once more to be sure that form was deleted as well as any related worksheets.
