We are not married but own a house together.Can the person who makes the most money take mortgage interest & property tax deductions?

The person making the most money is listed as the second person on the 1098 form. Can the other person take the standard deduction?

You can only deduct the amount of mortgage interest that you actually paid, so you should split the deduction in the same way that you split the payments.
