Hello there,
I have been filing my taxes with turbotax for years. I am non-US citizen residing in the US for almost 12 years now. For the first time I have received and 1042-S form (in addition to normal w-2) from my employer. I am not sure if I can file these together as a "resident" for tax purposes in the same returns. Please advice.
Thanks

Yes. The income on the 1042S should be reported the same as the US income equivalent. If it is also wages, is it in addition to your w2 or the same income just reported again?
Thanks for the reply, AmyC.
My W-2 is the normal income that I receive. the 1042-S is from a royalty that I received as an outcome of my work. in the 1042-C I have a foreign address listed, does that matters?
Thanks,
No, the address is fine. You will enter the w2 as always and now you can enter the royalty income.
The IRS offers this for reporting royalties.
Thanks for the clarification, AmyC. Greatly appreciated. While I managed to add that info to my income part using the information here "https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/tax-credits-deductions/discussion/how-to-report-1042-s/00/3319522", but I cant find the part in deductions and credits to add the tax already paid info from 1042-S.
Many Regards,
