Volunteer Work

I do volunteer work with my therapy dog. we are affiliated with Pet Partners a non profit organization. I was told by them tat I could claim the mileage for this. Were do I enter this in turbotax?

Go to Federal>Deductions & Credits> Charitable Donations>Donations to Charity in 2020

There will be a screen to enter the mileage you drove with your therapy dog.

Charity donations, including mileage are only itemized deductions.  If you use the standard deduction, you will, most likely,  see no benefit from entering your mileage. 

Mileage is not eligible for the $300 "above the line" deduction for cash donations.
