TurboTax says I have to upgrade to Deluxe because I have a foreign bank account. I DON'T have a foreign bank account. What can I do? I have started over 10 times.

I need to know how I can avoid paying for Deluxe when it's telling me I need to upgrade for something that I do not have. I don't know why it thinks I have a foreign account when I say no every time it asks me.

Clear the return and start over.  After you have entered your income you are asked if you have any type of Foreign Account, answer NO.

 

If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2023 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.
